The Commissar is brilliant. 
The other chap is very good too - I think the only problem is that you photographed from too close up!
A brighter yellow and a spot of rust-coloured wash (or both brown and black washes applied in sequence with different concentrations) would make the bolter and chainsword a touch less flat - unless you go for stripes, as suggested.

I'm going to drill it. I'll probably wait until I finish painting everything and base them before I do it though.
