All your caravan are belong to us!

Orc caravan guards were the desert-themed addition in the Land of Two Rivers supplement. This was a bit funny, IMHO, because they Blackbloods were pretty desert-themed to begin with.

I went with a slightly different scheme this time.

This is now it for the little stuff. I still have some ogres, kutara lancers and a myrmadon to do.

Nice additions! But, they seem to be a bit monopose.
Are you playing any Chronopia games?

But, they seem to be a bit monopose.

Yeah, in addition to the two trooper poses (pretty standard with Chronopia), there's only the leader. No special weapon guy, no standard bearer. I think these were really meant to fielded as a 4+1 unit.

I don't think they ever really went back and added variants to anything -- I guess it made more financial sense to push out new unit types instead, sadly.

The irony of it is that I've never really played Chronopia rules. I tried it way back when it was new (and I didn't even have the figures). It just didn't work for me. The original rules were derived from Warzone, which is a shooting-based game, and I felt they didn't manage to change them to a melee-based game.

I haven't really played anything lately, but if I were to take these out for a spin, I'd probably use Song of Blades, Dragon Rampant, Fantasy Rules or Frostgrave most likely. Naturally also depends on whether I'd host a game or just show up to one.
