Looking for a miniature...................
« on: December 31, 2015, 09:20:27 AM »
I am looking for suggestions for a miniature to portray a Victorian bishop in his normal attire, see photo below. I am happy if he's wearing the top hat but I would also prefer if he was wearing gaiters, any suggestions? Thanks in advance...................

Casting Room Miniatures (a branch of Foundry) has something that might work in their pack entitled Town Officials (VC019) which is part of their Victorian line of figures.  If you order today (must be in 2015) there is no shipping charge.  Richard

Thanks Richard,
I've put my order in and got the free postage, cheers. It's not exactly what I'm looking for but I can use it until I find exactly the right figure.
Many thanks.

I would just give a top hat to West Winds's Van Helsing, since he already has a Bible and a crucifix!

Thanks, dinohunterpoa,

I'd not seen that miniature before, but that might just fit the bill.

How about this fellow? Just green stuff a top hat and i'd say it's a decent match.

Nice one, thanks Kommando_J. That looks very close to what I want, cheers.

MiLord

No top hat so this might not suit, quite a big sculpt, similar to Black Scorpion.

Vagabond and Mason,
Thanks for those suggestions. I've got some of the Moonraker minis but I had not seen the clergyman. Mason, I have that figure somewhere and never thought of using it! Thanks, guys.

Eureka do some Victorian Gents that might fit the bill.

Thanks, Black Burt,
Another good suggestion. I am thinking now that I might have a whole league of clergymen with the plethora of ideas on this thread!

There used to be a White Hart society that was almost all clergymen.
A fairly informal group who were interested in Henry VI and used to meet for lunches at hostelries called "The White Hart".
I think some of the more dedicated members were trying to visit every White Hart in the country....

So a league of extraordinary clergymen would be quite reasonable.

An admirable aim indeed! I used to drink sometimes in the White Hart at Okehampton, Pitt the Elder used to give his election speeches from the balcony of that pub.

So, The League of Extraordinary Clergymen it is, then! Thanks, fastolfrus.
