Painting my Battletech (Capela Confederation)
« on: February 03, 2016, 07:42:26 PM »
Some months ago I started to paint my Battletech box (I played every weekend when I was younger, and bought new Catalyst edition induced by nostalgia).

These are the last group of mech I've finished, painted with Lyran colour schemes (can read more pictures and details in my blog):

http://portbelisario.blogspot.com.es/2016/02/battlemech-de-la-mancomunidad-de-lira.html

First mech is a Command, painted on blue and white. Don't wanted a too much rusted appearance

A Cicada, painted on blue-gray scheme and chequered on legs:

A Grasshopper heavy mech. Its lanky shape reminds me an insect, so I painted it on brown and white scheme, with some parts on blue to underline his lyran affiliation:

And finally a Zeus assault mech. I repeated blue-gray scheme, with shoulders and cockpit on orange. Pretty pleasured with highlights of the cockpit :)

Excellent paintwork.  The visits to the main Btech forum are...painful.  It's nice to see some quality paint work on some mechs.  Thanks for sharing!

Clicking on the picture to get a bigger one works.

Very nice painting. The plastic they used is not the easiest to work with, but your results are great.

Nice work! I like that you've gone with a variety of paint schemes rather than one uniform look.

For some reason, the oblong hex bases on the new box set really annoy me.  I wish they had molded them on full hex bases, but luckily EM4 sells nice cheap recessed 30mm "Mech" hex bases that are even on all sides.

Great group of mechs!  I especially like the black and red "camo" on the Quickdraw.   ;)

Thanks for your comments, mates :)

Remained first faction I painted: Federated Suns
http://portbelisario.blogspot.com.es/2015/04/battlemech-de-la-federacion-de-soles.html

First mech is a Hunchback (ugly model, but AC20 can convince you of the contrary)

A Withworth medium mech. Not convinced with colour scheme, I fear

An Enforcer medium mech. I'm satisfied with this model, Davion Light Guards colour scheme and shape is very nice (I pretend to paint my next Davion lance with this scheme). The objection is that I abused the pigments, and the result is a dirty look...

And finally an Awesome heavy mech. Very awesome on the board, I attest

After a long pause I painted a new mech lance with Free Worlds League scheme. I hope you'll like it

https://portbelisario.blogspot.com.es/2018/05/battlemech-de-la-liga-de-mundos-libres.html

First of them is an Assassin with generic Marik's color scheme:

A Jenner with 11 Atrean Dragons color scheme. Love this model.

A Hermes with Atrean Hussars color scheme.

A Banshee, a dreadful looking mech with 1st Regulan Hussars scheme

A pic of the whole lance:
