Simon and Mick have picked up the First batch this morning so it's likely they'll be ready for Salute.

I'll be taking a slight detour from Ealing for the next couple of figures. Apparently I promised my son I'd make tin tin and captain haddock.  ;D so an intrepid band of adventurous amateur sleuths seems likely.

Well, Tintin is available through Copplestone, but no one's ever made a Haddock - or Calculus.

Not sure if it helps at all, but I converted my own Haddock (in retrospect his hat's slightly oversized... maybe I'll fix that someday if I care enough):

Calculus is a West Wind detective with an umbrella, goatee beard, and glasses added.

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

Sorry Matt,
Late night posts. I'm no intention of making a Tin tin set. I'll be making a Tin tin set for my son,not for any range.I will post a few pictures when there done.if there well received I'll try and fit them into the range somewhere ( captain Haddock will easily fit in with the merchant sailors and fishermen sets, Tin tin will go in the private detective set,and so on).As this is more in keeping with the idea of the range .

Love your a Tin tin set although I can't help but be reminded of the singer Wil Young when I look at the Tin tin figure.
Mark.

I'll look forward to seeing how your Tintin and Haddock turn out. Strange as it may sound, I think Copplestone's looks a little off, somehow.

Excuse my ignorance, but which company will be selling these delicious figures?
They were all drawn to the Keep; the soldiers who brought death; the father and daughter fighting for life; the people who have always feared it; and the one man who knows its secret....

Copplestone's Tintin has a rather largish nose as compared to Tintin's actual nose in the comics, which is the issue I think. He's also made a strange hybrid of outfits, adding the necktie from older versions of Tintin to the blue sweater which Tintin wore for the later 2/3rds of his existence.

The figures will be with 1st Corps Miniatures, simply because they offered.Simon and Mick are decent chaps and have never said No when I've started a conversation with"I've had an idea" .
Contrary to popular belief I'm free lance ,It's quite simple to commission work you just ask,and I'll tell you what's possible for your budget.(unless your Fram and I end up doing the figure for the fun of it ;D)

Fram, you nailed it regarding Tintin. Your painting of the figure looks great, however!

Tin Shed, I'm intrigued by your being open to commissions. Is there a good way to contact you? (And sorry if I missed it in earlier pages!)

To be fair, Copplestone's Tintin IS a pretty reasonable portrait of Jean-Pierre Talbot at least.  lol

Well, that's embarrassing. I blame it on the caffeine not having kicked in yet. PM coming shortly, TS!

Not at a point I can post Tin tin,So here's the vet and the first of the gangster pack. An odd combination but I just sanded their bases (hence the gritty/dusty look) and thought I'd add them.As Mick shot off with the 'flock block' before the set was ready .
Tin tin will not be just on foot ;)
