Was I the only one who saw "Pirates of the Caribbean"? Or even some Scooby-Doo?  :)
I happen to be entertained by Undead Pirates, there are models from Reaper and a new excellent line from Privateer, so there must be others interested.

The "undead pirates" in POTC were not zombies.  Zombies are legendary humans that have been raised from the dead, by Voodoo, to work on plantations in the Caribbean.  They were, as legend has it, used for "slave labor".  They were not dangerous or in any way adversarial.  You told them what to do and they did it.  In a game representing the 17th and 18th century the zombies would be of the type that are raised from the dead by Voodoo.  I don't recall how the pirates in the first film became "undead".  A curse or something right?  Anyway, in the 2nd film they weren't "undead" or zombies.  They were *dead* and residing in "Davey Jones Locker".  The terminology is what's mixing us up.

I don't watch "Scooby Doo".

Personally, I think zombies are entirely appropriate with pirates, but the rulebook will keep on the human-only vein.

Hear hear! Good thing that you stick to your sod. I don´t know what´s the problem with people not wanting to tweak rules for non-tournament games themselves, relying on the authors to do all the work.

Then again, I like Zombie pirates as much as the next man. :D

I think you should do whatever you want to, unless, of course, children or animals are harmed.  They're your toys.  Nobody's in charge of your fun but you.  My discussion with Pete was about how you would incorporate zombies in a pirate game, as I thought that you guys were actually talking about zombies.  I don't know anything about "zombie pirates", or what passes for one.  So I'll stay out of it.

The Zombies, as in Zombie Pirates people are talking about here are zombies in the movie sense.

Zombie is a general term covering everything from the Romero style flesh eaters to the 28 Days Later virus type and the cursed by Aztec gold pirates from the Disney movie.

I'll agree that traditional voodoo zombies wouldn't be too exciting, but I think the idea here is more along the movie monster type.

The title of this thread is taken from South Park, which I'm sure you're above watching. Forgive me, and my pop culture quotes.

I'll mix in whatever kind of zombie I care to, thank you. My contributions to this thread are now ended, as I'm getting really pissed off over my toy soldiers, and that is  :D .

Cheers, and back to our regular good time...

I like "South Park".  I especially liked the one where Cartman had flames shooting out of his butt.

Who said that you shouldn't "mix in any zombie" that you care to?  You're getting the wrong impression.  We're not in charge of your fun.  I don't know what's pissing you off either.  Did somebody here say something to offend you?  Pete *likes* zombies, and I don't care one way or the other.
