Help me decide on a Mech-thingie´s paint scheme!
« on: January 19, 2007, 11:51:06 AM »
Hiya! Earlier this week, I got this little fellow (15cm/6") for 5,-€ at my local Karstadt. I "pimped" it a little bit but am now totally baffled what color scheme to pic.

My favourites would be the ice-scheme, since I just bought two platoons´ worth of battletroops Kurita Infantry which will be battling my buddy´s Rasalhague Rebels, and the grey-green temperate mottle, since my elementals are painted like that.

I´m not totally fixed on Battletech, though. The other is the "Badlands Splinter" as seen on my 25mm Heavy Gears, and the last would be an "evil machiney" blue-metallic as with my Terminator force.

Last, but not least, I´ll add a spherical lens to the head ring.

So please help me decide what scheme to use. I simply can´t. Other suggestions would also be appreciated.

Thanks for your help!

Deffinately go for Badlands splinter!

I really like that one. Can you post a link to pics of your Heavy Gears?

Lots of good choices. Go with Ice Splinter, get yourself some Gebirgsjaegers, and you can use it for Weird War 2, also!

Alright, guys, thanks for all your help.

However, I´ve decided on another scheme which was suggested to me by the Rasalhague buddy and has the added advantage that it is a) an "oldskool scheme" and b) "Historically accurate" within the BT universe.

Well, the latter is bullshit, but what the hell. :D

Have a look at it:

Thanks for your help again, and I´m certain to use the winning schemes sometime later.

All that voting for nothing!

Still, you can get those Gebirgsjaegers to go with it. So it's a draw.  :)
