For the sci-fi figures I think it would be nice if they have a Pulp/B movie look
,like Flash Gordon ,Buck Rogers or one of the other old style sci-fi heroes .
They would have ther one charm and they were different to the other tons of regular sci-fi figures .
All the old Pulp magazine´s will give you a good inspiration, just have a look in the internet .

There's the french Pulp Novels Hero, Bob Morane which became a Comic Character (even a Time Travel Agent ).

He teams up with a red haired scottish guy, Bill BALLANTINE

One of their Nemesis is an oriental bald guy, Mister Ming, a.k.a. the Yellow Shadow.

Well, since I think your stuff is top notch, how about some Blake & Mortimer inspired stuff. I know Jocob Edgar is Belgian, but he is certainly an true anglofile. His high-powered MI5 agent Blake and scientist-adventurers would fit perfectly into your Thrilling Tales.

Has anyone seen this comic book - Adventures in the Rifle Brigade?
It's quite hilarious and Pulpy - about a misfit bunch of elite WW2 British commandoes. Some characters from this comic might be interesting.

I just discovered a DVD called "Sky Pirates - Dakota Harris" and bought it straightaway!! I guess this will give me the background behind Artizan's new air pirates!

Have you watched it yet Dominic? The review on IMDB wasn't great, do you thinks it's any good?

The Artizan Airship Pirates are based on the anime film Laputa: Castle in the Sky apparently!

And that one must be one of Miyazaki´s finest. I saw it at the movies last summer, and it was an excellent experience, even if the German dub was... ah... average. I´ve seen worse, but I still prefer Japanese OSTs with subtitles.
