Video Painting Tutorials
« on: February 29, 2016, 03:48:46 PM »
I started posting videos again, and I figured it's best to start with some basics. Some tricks I've learned for the keeping and care of your tools, and some basic techniques. Let me know if there's anything you might want to see covered.

All these videos are going to be for basic stuff mostly, but under 10 minutes and covering specific techniques, care tips, and anything else I can squeeze into that amount of time.
Since I'm also the 'Studio Painter' for Uncle Mike's Worldwide, you'll be seeing a few Strange Aeons models make an appearance as well.

Good stuff, but I cannot paint much anymore.  Too old and getting fussier every day...

But, when I do (and I paint much sloppier and faster by the way  ;) ), I listen to stuff like this:

The King In Yellow

Oh don't worry. I'm just as lazy as the next guy. I'll have a few videos up on getting mountains of minis painted quickly.
I have a pile of board games, and gray plastic drives me nuts. I've developed a method that gets good results fast, plus, there's always the base coat and dip.  :)

Well, you know my (not so) secret.  Block paint the fig, a bit of dry brush then a mircle dip.  The problem is, this method works best for large units.  And, I am getting fussy and simply do not have the patience to paint "boring" figures any more at all (I think 200 camels a year or so ago did it).  One of the reason my Lurkers currently out-number my agents by such a wide margin.

Thank goodness for over-seas painters.
