Old Glory Jihadiya Skirmishing Rifles
« on: March 07, 2016, 12:24:17 PM »
Need some help guys  :)

I have so far been unsuccessful in my attempts to find any images of these guys painted:

except these two images

- before a possible purchase I would like to see more images of them painted up.

Also how do these size-wise compare to Perry Miniatures Sudan range?

Any kind of help will be much appreciated.

In my opion they are very nice...they fit with almost  everything except Redoubt big boys...my Ansar Army is composed of those OG types intermixed (also in same units) with Conoisseur, Essex, Perry Plastic and a few Castaway...

Saucy Jack.
Mate I think you are better off with Perry Mahdist rifles(  metals) unless on a very very  tight budget.

Sorry , stay away from the Castaway ones , there are only 3 variants and the shooters are quite poor , I would never buy the ( 3 variants).

Having said that the rest of the range is mostly excellent , just the shooters are no good .

Generally I am a huge Fan of Castaway,  I have some (100) that I have used with the Perry Fuzzy Wuzzys , they are a perfect fit , once again there are a few duds but 90% of them  are just as good as the Perrys ...high Praise Indeed..

I would not use the Old Glory Ones at all , to me they look a bit dated , and in a pack of 30 , you may get  6 variants if your lucky ..Perrys have 18 ... plus you don't need many anyway .
I would not use the Perry Plastics either , unless you want them all advancing leaning forward ...lol
Cheers

Advice taken Von, will check out the castaways
The Victorian Outpost

Its a new gaming place in Grimsby with new terrain and new scenery, lots of respect for all wargamers and is the best place to game in town.

Anybody who wishes to visit the venue to arrange a game then  just pm me and lets roll those dice.
