Just stumbled across this one....it is the Char C2

now that that would be a cool model for some pulp(y) game. Does anybody know if there are models available?

It is big isnt it. Overall shape not dis-similar to later models so perhaps a 1/48th (1/32nd) scale could stand in?

I've seen this tank scratch built in 28m scale.  I think an Australian modeller.

Can anyone help with a link?

I think this could be the one. On an Australian forum, though the builder is in China:

It WAS Pardulon - I'm not completely senile, yet...

Not quite the same, but maybe could be used as the base for some conversion..?

Maybe you could take a Char B-1 Bis and lengthen it?

I don't think this would work - the 2C is considerably different from the B1 both in dimensions and detail.
They were all drawn to the Keep; the soldiers who brought death; the father and daughter fighting for life; the people who have always feared it; and the one man who knows its secret....

yeah I got the B1 and it is relatively small - still nice though.
But this C2 seems to be just gigantic. really cool...
got to look around I guess..   :?

The Char 2C is a massive vehicle, even in comparison to the Char B1 (large for 1939/40). Unfortunately, most if not all Char 2C s were hit by Stukas while either detraining or still on the train.

How about taking a 1/35 scale Char B1 and resizing the hatches, machine guns etc to 28mm? It won't be the same as the photo, but should still be an impressive size.

It's one of my future projects to take an inter-war 1/35 Russian plastic tank kit [T-26 I think, but the kit is in the loft and I can't remember the exact vehicle] and convert it into a 28mm VSF landship.
