Have you got a Little Nellie? .....
« on: December 17, 2008, 01:56:45 PM »
.....the autogyro from James Bond, of course!....   lol

If not, they have some in one of my local Poundland stores. The model appears to be diecast, with a plastic 007 pilot and rotors etc. It appears to be roughly 20mm, maybe even true-25. Sadly I didn't have my usual 28mm Foundry comparison figure with me, so I can't be sure. Even so, it may still be useful for Bond, Mad Max style games etc.

It's a very nice little model and I'm sure many will find a use for it.

I'm sure somebody posted one on here next to a Copplestone adventurer, and it looked more or less the right scale - if they're the same ones they should be ok.

(I have a nagging doubt though - was the one posted from the magazine where you got a free "collectors" vehicle every fortnight?)

It looks like a proper retail job, with what appears to be authentic James Bond packaging. Being a fool, I didn't take too much notice of the packaging, but it did appear to be more elaborate than the usual "part-work" stuff.

If you can find the link for the one you saw, I will be able to say if they are the same model.

That's the one I remembered, yes.  :)

Actually, on second look, that one seems maybe a little big, so if the one you saw is smaller it could be a better fit. Hmmmm....

Go back to the shops! Now! I'll time you!

Too true!  lol

Sadly I'll never have enough time or money to get into James Bond/KKBB etc, so if I had bought one I'd never be able to use it.

JB, I would have raced out to have another look, but it's at a local shopping "mall", Merry Hill. Locally known as "Merry Hell" with good reason. One trip a week is my limit. :(

We use the Nellie in our Back of Beyond games set in Romania.(that's my Nellie!!! Fame at last). It is a tad big but still looks great on the tabletop. One of my gaming buds has a dirtied and aged version made for his WWW2 games which looks truly fab. :o

yeah... I'm thinking air support for UNIT personally... of course keeping one as is for any future KKBB excursions might seem prudent...
