The design idea was that it would be shooting at the banks of the canal, so back-blast wasn't an issue (unless you were stood on the bank) however the dragon did have to fire forwards in the game- it totalled a tank!- however we ruled that the back-blast set the deck on fire and the gun crew spent most of the rest of the battle trying to put the fire out!

You can find a video or two out there of real life 'pick-up truck' launchers doing the same thing... although we can't post them here.

I don't think many terrain producers take into account channel boats fitting below their bridges.

we decided to rule that the bridge was easily navigable by all the boats- as it would have been a bit of a boring game otherwise.
