New - Zombies from Brigade Games
« on: December 18, 2008, 10:06:50 PM »
Lon has very shrewdly IMHO picked up the range of zombies - both WWW2 and Modern that Neil Roberts was in the process of sculpting for Steve at Spyglass.

The Spyglass release had been limited to a pack of 4 Germans with separate heads, but Neil had also made some WWW2 Russian zeds, and a pack of modern civvie zeds.

Piccie of the new moderns:

Basic shambler poses - from the Germans i've already got, its pretty easy to manipulate the arms to vary the poses even more.

Not sure if they only come with one head (the Germans came with two options), but i'm sure Lon will be along shortly to confirm that.

No idea on price, but i can use a bucketload of these....

Sweet!  But why are all the heads on tees?  ;)

 lol

I'm not sure if its the case with the moderns, but the WW2 Germans i bought from Spyglass (before they closed and sold them to Brigade Games) have 2 heads attached in that way to the slot.  The heads sit in a cup on the figures, so no need for drilling, no unsightly joins etc.

Dare i say it, but they are the sort of thing that WF are promising, but they are metal, and they already exist....(ducks for cover) ;)....

No idea on price yet, but they are just the sort of thing i'm looking for (the arms on the existing germans i've got can easily be manipulated with a pair of pliers for additional variety, and i've got some packs of the Westwind SOTR zombie heads as well).

That doesn't mean i won't buy the WF ones as well, assuming they look good when they get made - you can never have enough zombies..... ;D

Expect similar prices as before as well as deals for large purchases.

AFAIK, the moderns come with one head. That doesn't mean I can't ask Neil to make some more and have that option available at a later date.

Hopefully these will be out in early/mid January along with the WW2 Russian zeds.

Not sure why one would want 2 heads though as you would only have 1 per figure.

Linky to some photos of the WW2 Germans (painted by White knight):

and to my own basic conversion attempt on the same minis, to make them look more modern:

In answer to Lon's question about extra heads - both WK and myself have used head swops for more variety...more variety generally means more sales  :)

A shrewd move indeed.

The only Zombies I have painted.  (Thought it might help Spyglass out if there were lots of examples on the Web.)  Really glad they are going to be available and expanded.  And they go quite nicely with Artizan "Mad Doktors."

Very tidy job - would never have thought of going for that shade of green, but it works surprisingly well!

Can't wait for those Russian Zeds.

Beautiful paint job, Orctrader. But I'm definitely not a fan of green Zed flesh.
