and how much would that cost for us mere mortals to construct?

About 25% of what GW might sell it for.  ;)

Hadn't clocked this until today, but it appears to be all over TMP and various other places on the internet. Surprised it hasn't appeared here yet. Or perhaps it's been posted somewhere else and I've missed it.

It looks like a realistic-looking 28mm castle kit is finally about to come onto the market  :o :-*
All good things come to he who waits, and I've been waiting a long fecking time for the right castle to come along.
Seems it's nearly here... The initial tower due to be released at Salute, with the full castle to follow, and many more parts in the pipeline - happy days :)

Got to say, it looks bloody good. And versatile. Lots of pics on the following places...

Here, what the ingenious Perrys have started doing with the components to build an abbey... Kitbashing it already. I am already looking forward to doing the same  :)

Glad you discovered Wargame News and Terrain, Captain! The plastic pieces look great and as mentionned would be nice for Minas Tirith, hadn't thought of that before. The quality will surely be great as you can expect from Renedra they certainly have the expertise and tools for that.

I'll be interested to see how well it mixes with the sadly OOP Tabletop Workshop castle.

you'd be far better building your own. There is so much wrong with the GW castle I don't know where to begin. I agree, blue styrofoam would be my medium of choice :D
Anyway, who says that the walls of Minas Tirith were white? It was only the tower of Ecthelion that was white and was mentioned thus because of the contrast...
Technically Minas T should look more like Orthanc, Minas Morgul, Narthost and Carthost (towers either side of the Morannon) before the last tenant made unauthorised alterations! since they were all constructed by the same SA masons.

The arched windows look potentially useful for things other than castles. The rest, not so much. If they had made plainer pieces it would be more appealing.

Oddly there were very few castles that weren't coated with 'harling' or a similar sort of lime-wetdash to weatherproof the walls. Most such places were therefore 'white'(or a light ochre etc). Grey stone castles are very Hollywood and Natural Trust, but barely historical.

Moi aussi.
Also for Wars of The Roses I daresay.
But then I've never worried too much about historical accuracy.
In pure modelling terms it looks a great deal better than anything else I've seen come onto the market - and I've been looking at castles for the last 5 or 6 years.
I agree the H&A one is nice, but variably available in the UK and not cheap. Also smallish. More for true 25mm than modern 28s.
I agree it's not your typical concentric castle with round towers beloved of Hollywood, but real castles were all sorts of shapes and sizes at different times and in different parts of the European medieval world. This has a somewhat Italianate or Central European look about it, which perhaps is what suggests Minas Tirith?
Anyway, we shall see once it is in the hand.
From the pictures it looks a nicely executed kit.
If you don't like the style, fair enough. But that's a slightly different question  :)

Blimey, I'm just glad I've never mentioned that armour wasn't all polished and shiny. Philistines.  ;)

I dunno. When not painting or playing I suspect the vast majority of wargamers like nothing better than sitting around polishing their helmets.

Neat looking...and I think it's about as good as you're likely to get on simple plastic sprues.  I think people need to keep that in mind.  It's a generic castle-esque sprue kit.  There is no way you're getting a full historically accurate castle in a box.  lol

Looks great, but 36gbp? I think plastic becomes the new resin. It is a little bit too expansive.

It looks too late Medieval for my taste. Almost like something GW.

Talking of GW, given their excellent Ruins of Osgiliath set being lamentably OOP, I am surprised Renedra hasn't brought out something similar. The set is still much sort after so the demand is there.
