Wow...! Both gorgeous entries. Very difficult to make the choice. I ultimately went with the one I felt had more realistic tones...but both deserve to win.

Terrific scene Alex.  Brilliant painting and terrific photography.  Wonderful at every level.   :)

(As for our "contest"...does not look good for me.   ;) )

I love those Tolstings figures and want to vote for them, but the lighting is kind of letting them down.  I still enjoy the obvious painting flourishes, however, such as the women's scarves.

Both very nice entry 8)

Is the Stone Giant the "bones" version or the lead one?

Thanks, Malcolm, the same to you, I love your entry, great colour choice, and the red cheeks of the women are an amazing idea :) they got my vote, these Tolstings are too cute :)

No, it's the original lead one. Bought very long time ago and finally painted.

...Tolstings...but the lighting is kind of letting them down...

My photography hasn't been brilliant so far this league - bit out of practice.  (Should start improving though.   ;) )

Lustrous, both. What is that deamonface in the background, Alex?

It's a gargoyle statue, Peder:

I had to go for the Tolstings too. Superb paintwork Malcolm. The white of the aprons and the plaid blankets sold me.
Unfortunately, going against one of the Prof's epic cinematic scenes is a tall order for anyone, but the vote does deserve to be closer than it is so far methinks  :)

I really like the choice of figures in both entries.  Such different themes, yet so hard to choose.  Great entries gentleman :-* :-*
