I've played a few games of FIW over the years, mostly 'unit based' battles, and I've always liked the troops types, terrain, etc., but until I went to Scotland a couple of weeks ago I'd never found a set of rules that suited the generally 'small scale forces' of the conflict. Muskets and Tomahawks definitely has what the period calls for. I was suitably impressed. Of course, it always helps to get the juices flowing when it's a twelve player two day bash with The League of Gentleman Wargamers and luck is with you. I even beat Charles Grant on the first day.

Blimey, that's an impressive setup ... and ditto for your SYW collection.

And as it hasn't been said before (much), Galloping Major are a first rate company to deal with. They are going to be at Teeside Wargames Convention this Saturday (2nd April) selling their figures if you're in the area. Details here -
