Unoriginal greeting here
« on: December 23, 2008, 09:48:50 PM »
I'm in and about various forums, mostly Frothers and was suddenly struck that I had never registered here and realized i'm not nearly the faceless lurker I used to be about the wargaming hobby.
Current stuff I'm tinkering with:

Chinese Fantasy- using Black Hat's Tales of the Dragon King miniatures, some Hasslefree martial artists, a few Legend of the Five Rings figures (I'll confess the samurai I painted so far look deplorable), some 100 Kingdoms stuff. Basically anything catching my fancy or just too cheap too pass up. Finding a few L5R figs about locally for a dollar or fifty cents.

Daddy Was a Bank Robber- In case the Chinese fantasy game isn't ready I'll be supplementing my usual modern alien invasion game for the Skirmish convention with a game of Geezers! Shut It! so that I can cheat and reuse my modern table assembly and only have to paint a few figures.

Flash Rogers Give a Royal Beatdown to Commando Carter of Mars in the Sky City of the Hawkmen- Something I'm working on when I get burned out. Uses Bronze Age Imperials and Wargames Supply Dump figures.

Weird World War II- This one is probably more like a 2010 project as Sgt. Rock and Easy Company team up with the Creature Commandos to capture the Spear of Destiny enroute to Berlin. The Unknown Soldier waits in disguise to spring a nasty surprise as well, etc. This is still a pipedream project as I've only scratched the surface of the figures I'd need.

Welcome aboard Bob.
All your projects will find a fitting home here  lol

Slightly disconcerting that you have Helen's face though.....can put a chap off his tea, worrying about stuff like that.
