@Azzabat

I'm going to take a wild guess- introduced to the hobby via model railroad or historical diorama?

These are Hobby Games; and I am saddened to no end by the people who choose to ignore the range of experiences in the hobby or the multitude of rescources that already exsist. And at the same time the number of people who fail to contribute or bring terrain.

And cheers to the terrain makers!

Actually it was via Fancy Dress.   :o

My lil brother needed a Viking Costume for something at school when he was 6 or 7, and I remembered seeing some viking figures in a Comic Store on one of our Saturday morning outings, so bought it to use as reference material. (these were the glorious days before the internet and home computers.)

My farm boy upbringing means you never throw anything out, so I thought "Mmmm, what can you do with these little metal guys?" ... and a passion was born.

I know the voices aren't real .... but they have such FASCINATING ideas!

Love it!

What kind of farm? I grew up on a horse farm in New England.

Wheat mainly, though I never had much to do with that. I got to "play" with all the domestic stuff like the animals and veggies we grew/ate for ourselves. Envious of the Horses though, I had to 'share' mine with my older sister.  = (

Awesome Thriftshop Find!!! Combined with an awesome rediscovery of some old GW tiles!

Behold- an Enchanter and the interior of the Enchanter's workshop!

Pic 1: Standing outside the workshop- the warband hears somthing in the distance...

Pic 2: In the midst the thrashing and maddened howls of a Dark Young- the Grand Enchanter Isaak commands the stone golem Alwin to smash it's head in!

Pic 3: For when the fighting moves indoors- a view of the workshop and the Sanctum Sanctorum!

Love the shields for the necromancer band. Looks like a few good minis for that lot.
Loving all these different crews.

The goal is two but similar warbands- a "whole game" concept where I have enough to play on my own- and a good assortment of models for playing at a club.

Necromancer
Enchanter
Hired Help
Encounters
Treasure

Fantastic work, good to see some of those older models given a new lease of life, and the use of old GW Dwarf and Orc shields is inspired.
