Oops! Should have introduced myself
« on: December 26, 2008, 10:20:24 AM »
Hi.  I'm from Portland Oregon.  I do mostly Weird WWII, WWII, and Between-the-wars Pulp.

So . . ..  hi
Member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Rugged Adventure. On death we will be judged by the triumvirate. Tintin will decide if he would write about us. Indiana Jones, if he would travel with us, and Jesus if our adventures were righteous. Amen.

Welcom Mr McCrackin, hows the blizzard of 08 treating you in the North west?

I spent the week without any lead to paint!  It was okay, but at the same time it sucked.  Work calling every day asking if there was any way I could come in (thirty miles, rear wheel drive car, no chains, and a few hills . . . . . not bloody likely).

I'm still a fan of "Battleground WWII" for a rules set.  Even though its a dead rules system, and most of the fansites have been abandoned, there's still fans.  I haven't run a story game yet - I've been a lurker here for a couple months, and have started coming up with ideas for a 1940/41 Indiana Jones inspired Pulp game taking place in Norway, along with a 1938/39 Indiana Jones inspired Pulp game taking place somewhere in South America.  It'll be a while before I'm ready to run either - have to plot out my ideas, build terrain, collect a few more figures, etc.

Ah perfect window for me to link to my own Kentucky Jones bat rep http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=8237.0

Hehe.. I think Indy is the perfect introduction to story driven miniatures play. I'm thinking about the sequel to the scenario there in the link too. In the best movie-style it should be totally unrelated to the first episode!

Your idea with a snowy country has got me thinking!
