What do you think of a separate section for diorama topics on our forum here?

I like to paint miniatures and to arrange some scenes  to display them.  Building dioramas is closely related to wargaming and i got tons of inspiration for my hobby here on lead adventures.  Maybe there are other platforms specialized on dioramas. But it is great to have so many ideas from people around the world here so we can learn from each other.

So what about a section to discuss the special questions which you face when bulding dioramas? This section could probably summarize any topics regardless of the theme addressed in the diorama presented. Maybe a new part under  "Other Stuff" ?

Please share your thoughts on this.

Personally - and it is only my opinion - I'd prefer to see dioramas in the Board of their subject matter rather than separate.

Yep, gotta agree...there are so many side boards, I'd probably just rather stick them there.  Then again I get a little sour when people post a new thread for each miniature they post... lol  So I'm just a crotchety old bastard.

Now, it's possible you could start a "post your dioramas" thread in say...Other Adventures or Workbench section and keep everyone in one thread.  I prefer finding a quality 30-page thread than dozens of disparate threads covering similar stuff.

I think it is a good idea!

I also like the building/painting part of the hobby much more than the gaming and many building projects can be quite versatile and possible to be used for different periods. Just to prove my point, here is piece I just built to be used for several periods:

:-* :-* Beautiful piece!  But back on topic, I'd agree with this sentiment. I see much more sharing of terrain/painting logs and/or finished examples of that kind of work on here than I do battle reports and strategy discussion, so I don't really view relevant diorama's as being any different.  :)
