Those are actually from the 1/100 Tamiya Me262 kit

The last three models I built specifically for the Bolt Action Tank Wars "Battle of Kursk" event at Adepticon 2016 are three Italeri 1/56 scale Tiger I Es. I needed a full platoon of three similar tanks and these fit the bill quite nicely, as well as cheaply (All 3 cost less than $20 each).

This model has been on my workbench for about 6 months or so. I kept picking it up, doing a little bit, and then putting it back for weeks at a time. This was an experiment in doing winter whitewash with oil paints, rather than my usual oil pastels and I can't say I really like the end effect much.

Another light tank I've been working on for my planned WW2 Germans, this is the Panzer 39H 735(f). This model originally started as the Neucraft Model's Hotchkiss H-39 and I want to take a moment to say that this is, by far, the nicest 1/56 scale model I've worked with to date.

Nice weathering on the last couple of tanks. I will be seriously considering Neucraft Models if I add to my 28mm Germans.

Another amazing AFV from Blitzkrieg Miniatures - the Italian M11/39 light tank. This model is spot-on as far as detail is concerned. I had to do very cleanup and some little additions (only adding the armored viewport on the right side and the tow hooks below the glacis plate). Details are sharp and crisp, with very little flash or excess resin. The MG turret hatch can be modeled open or closed and sits well in either position. I added a tank commander from the Warlord Italian Tank Crew pack.

One of the variants of the Panzer IV chassis was the tank destroyer version known as the Jagdpanzer. Initially armed with a short-barreled L/48 7.5cm gun, it was decided in 1944 that it should be up-armed with the long barreled L/70 7.5cm gun whose increased muzzle velocity was believed would be a more effective anti-armor weapon. However, production and refits could not keep up with demand and it was decided that an interim solution was needed - this would be the Alkett version. Alkett was the manufacturer of the venerable StuG and production of this version would be produced in their factories through the simple expedient of welding a large casemate structure unto the Panzer IV chassis. This resulted in an odd, high silhouetted tank hunter that was ungainly and (likely) not very successful in the field, with under 300 produced. Unfortunately, no one makes this version in 1/56, so I set out to convert it myself.
