My Sassanids so far
« on: April 12, 2016, 02:23:17 PM »
I have been slowly adding to my collection of Sassanids/Late Parthians, I never really thought about building up a force big enough to game with but somehow it has arrived. The figures in the photos where painted by me with the exceptions of the Kings elephant(Adam Smith) and the Sassanid Clibs(Dougie Cameron).

Painted for fun and now I have something to throw in front of my Byzantines when they arrive.

Cheers

Keith

I love your army, those miniatures deserve much more web presence than they are getting!

Although I own only 2 (for now) I have to say your Sassanians are best sculpts of them Ive seen in any scale.
I plan to do a Saga/Rampant retinue with them when I will finish my Vikings.

Great looking army Keith - nice to see some of the new infantry en masse.   Must admit have yet to paint the 12 horse archers I bought so long ago though the early Sasanid/Parthian cataphracts have done sterling service as Armenians allied to Mithridates.    Am waiting on the Samnites and Seleucid horse............
