Yes, the game flow is fast.  I can see how larger numbers of miniatures could increase complexity but we have not gone above 200 points.

You probably also ought to house rule a maximum model count...the peasants list is one that is nearly impossible to really do anything against and takes forever to do anything while being hard to actually beat because it's entire thing is having enough minis to just get something through...

HERE

It's got a few things there that are interesting.

Yes, the game flow is fast.  I can see how larger numbers of miniatures could increase complexity but we have not gone above 200 points.

Above 200 points it still tends to work well enough.

The comment about the peasants is one that most people would never use, and is almost entirely a list designed to create problems...it relies entirely on the beasic, unupgraded peasants that are, if I remember right, 2 points each so at 200 points for a game, that's 100 of them on the field...

I added the weave work to the pens that I made.  I used doorbell wire which came in white and red colors.

Another game of Ronin.  Peasants with Ronin support fighting against Bushi.

Turn 1:  Bushi is approaching the town with a mounted samurai leader and 8 ashigaru.  The peasants await their arrival in the animal corals and the Ronin are coming down the road from the archway.  Ashigaru archers find their mark on a peasant in the coral.

Turn 2:  Mounted samurai leader and 2 ashigaru engage two Ronin.  One Ronin falls to the Samurai leader and the ashigaru's career comes to a quick end.  Peasants in the closer coral attempt to sneak around the house but the ashigaru archers let them have it.

Turn 3:  Mounted samurai leader circles around the house to catch the peasants by surprise while the ashigaru engage the ronin advancing into the melee.  Ashigaru archers continue to find their marks on exposed peasants.

Turn 4:  Mounted samurai returns to deal with the ronin in the street.

Turn 5: The leader of the ronin falls causing a moral check which causes the peasants to waiver.

Turn 6: Peasants fail morale again ending game.

WIP, painting a couple of dragons to play in Ronin.  I plan on using En Garde! rules for the stats.
