No shame losing to Lt. Hazel, Hammers, Nikko, and Temudjin!
None indeed!!
Yet finding smaller windmills to tilt
would improve your boxscore...
I know, I know, '
luck' of the draw, Teutonic, Tylrolean, or Helvetic...
This iteration of LPL the entry quality is substantially higher across the board.
Given the improved levels of quality, imagination, execution & presentation are all vital.
While personally applauding the trend towards the dioramic & the vignette,
simple, well painted miniature actors risk being swallowed by their attendant scenery.
I want more backdrop & background, it pleases me, eye & soul.
I do my best to judge painted people, rather than their props.
Using the subject's setting to tip the balance does occur though.
& while not a photography contest LPL is unwinnable absent perfect pictures.
I wonder if a
BOTH button would improve those parts of the process?
It would certainly increase the number of votes cast, while narrowing the margins of victory.
I wonder too if so many similar, though distinctly different, entries told against you.
I've suffered from the yawn, meh, hohum engendered by past one trick pony painters.
Though that tends to occur in genres I have
ZERO interest in,
such lack of appeal rendering them blurry & uninteresting, unless remarkably well executed.
When Titans clash, inspiration & education, follow!!
Thank you all who make LPL the brightest part of my Sunday!!
