Hey guy!
Time to say hello from Holland. I arrived sometimes today morning and we already made some progress. Ok, the last posts of Grimm and Dominic turned the tides and we started building a ship :-) It is still not determined what it will look like in the end, but I promised to post pictures of any potential progress. So here we go. Enjoy

Everybody has to say "tramp ship" ten times as fast as they can.

That looks like a very useful size. The bow shape is a bit awkward, but I can´t wait for the finished model...

Can we expect to see some ship tramps to go with the tramp ship and the harbour district already available? ;)

It's great for .45Adv. For the size of it, it looks like you could do the ship as half the board and the wharf as the other half. It looks biggish.

There are a great many sailors out on the market now! The ship won't hurt for crew.

How do you say "tramp ship" in Dutch? Or Deutsch, for that matter.

Ok, here you see the basic body, complete with railing and ready to be cast in silicone. The figure should give a nice impression of the size. If the body would be any smaller we would be running into problems fitting nice superstructural parts on the boat. The boat measures 12*39,5cm at the moment.
The silicone rubber mold will then be filled with dental plaster, so we will be able to carve structure and detail in the plaster body.
Pictures will follow :)

What we are constantly thinking about is the superstructural parts that will be placed on top of the finished "base", so any suggestion would be reallt appreciated!

Trampfrachter (literally, Tramp freight ship). It´s a "Lehnwort", ie. "borrowed term".

Looks great! I´d go for a central bridge superstructure and front and aft hatches, so you can stow a giant ape in the forward cargo bay, and the Ark of the Covenant aft...

Hi guys!

We made quite some progress on the boat and I want to show some more pictures of the evolving project.
At the moment we are fully occupied by detailing the ship's hulk, a mold with the first superstructures will be ready in about an hour, I can give you an update then.
We are planning to make this ship easy to customize. There will be the hulk on which you can place different sets of superstructural elements. Depending on how far we will get with the first layout we might make some more parts for a second one.
Here are some pictures:

Preparing and puring the silicone rubber in the first mold for the plaster ship

The completed mould with a supporting shell made of plaster.

GeBoom is gently trying to get the plaster ship out of its form

here you can see the ongoing  detail work on the hulk.
