That is looking great. I'm looking forward to what the final cost will be with shipping to my humble address in the US.

Heck, I'd buy the hull as is and add the details myself at this point.

Me too!  Or... well... at least I'll buy it and then *think* about all the cool details I could add.  :-D

Hey guys!
After some minor set backs like bad casts, fatigue and a short lack of new ideas we are back at full pace and made good progress today.

Yesterday evening we played around with an possible setup for the upper decks on the ships:

Today morning I started with the final detailing on the hulk with adding a couple hundred rivest and giving the lower cabins something to look at, like metal  ledges, portholes and dozens of rivets as well

Then we started building the upper deck with making a temporary mold for a plaster cast

At the moment the hulk, lower cabins and the upper deck are being molded so we start resin casting this evening!

Hmmm...  :? I donīt like that superstructure. Far too big for my liking, but since it is separate...

I agree Chris, the superstructure looks out of scale with the hull.
Sorry guys - honest opinion. :?

Hi guys!

Thanks for all your comments on the boat over the last few days, some ideas might find its way to a second or revised boat, but after GeBoom spent half of the night casting, we would like to show you the final version of the first Boat.
Since I (Zoogla) will be leaving to Belgium in about 20minutes there is no time for a painted version right now :)
Hope you liked our little progress report on this 3 day project and I am pretty sure, we will repeat this kind of session in the future!!!!

Well, the finished article looks rather good. Still a bit on the large side (those superstructures), but the detail really helps.

I think if the hull was 6 inches longer with a kind of crane on the front, it would be perfect!  Can't wait for version 2!!

I'm with Dominic on the length needing about 6 more inches, but if the price is decent with shipping to the US, I'd pick one of these up right now. It would fit nicely on the 2'x 2' docks I use for my games.

Attractive resin work.  Understand this is intended to be a merchant steamer, but the shape of the hull and superstructure, and the proportions, reminds me more of a tugboat, perhaps an oceangoing tugboat.  I imagine it moving barges on a river or moving steamers in and out of harbor, given the right detail pieces.  A gun could be added for wartime.
Sailors have more fun!
