(Kickstarter) Starfinder Miniatures (+ warning)
« on: September 28, 2017, 01:19:49 PM »
I saw a post about Starfinder (the SF version of the PathFinder RPG) miniatures up on Kickstarter

I've never played the game (the rules were £50 :o), but I do like the look of a lot of the figures.

However, there's a thread over on the Reaper Forum with several warnings about delayed Kickstarters from the company behind it (Ninja Division) and the comments thread has a lot of irate backers of previous projects "venting".

The other problems are that they're going with resin, which seems a huge mistake, even for RPG figures and that it's $100 minimum buy in.

It's already over its funding target, but I'll be sitting this one out. If things get to retail, however, I may pick up a few (although they've also stuck "Limited Edition" against a number of the figures)

It's a shame, as the figures do look nice, but there are just too many red flags on this one :(

Nice enough, but not quite my cuppa...

I see a 'Candy and Cola' pair of miniatures in their list. Weren't those also (special?) characters in the Relic Knights game?
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Candy and Cola are the Soda Pop company mascots. They were the first characters released back when the company was just releasing random character models that would eventually become Relic Knights. Since then they've appeared in gaming kickstarers all over the place, from Super Dungeon Explore to Kingdom Death: Monster.
