atrice.  That is fabulous!!!! I love the 'Martin Guerre' sub plot. Brilliant. A great story makes any period shine and sing. You've done that brilliantly!  Superb. All the best. Steve  :-* :-* :-*

Yes, the coastal tower is scratch built. I made it.

It's inspired me to finish my Breton force!

We are waiting to see it.  :)

I hope your writing all this down, this is great stuff. I love the fortified manor house and the coastal tower, are these scratch-built?

The text is an almost straight translation from our AAR in French:
http://argad.forumculture.net/t1485-deux-ducs-pour-une-couronne-ou-la-guerre-de-succession-de-bretagne-en-raccourci#14115

The coastal tower is scratch-built (OOooops, Euthanasor has just answered, he made it). The manor is a farmhouse (with a small tower added on a side) I'll ask where it comes from.

A great story makes any period shine and sing.

Many thanks Ignatieff! We would probably never have invented such a large nonsense if we hadn't seen all your wonderful AARs in the Back of Beyond section of LAF all these years.

Amazing. How the hell do you run a game like this!?!?

This was an epic game (in modern and in original meaning of the word :)

Thats how legends are made. And that is the reason I started to play Sharps Practice with story line campaigns.
But the verve of your game is awe inspiring (even with not so luxry wagons :).

Fantastic. I like that all the tables were in use at the same time and all contributing the the final outcome.

A beautiful and expansive game. What a heck of a campaign!

Thanks for the kind comments.  :)

I love the fortified manor house

Its owner says it's from Vatican Enterprises (USA) http://www.wargamescenics.com/Fortified_Medieval_Farm_House.html

How the hell do you run a game like this!?!?

We run smaller games (with 3-4 players) quite often, so the players are quite accustomed to the system and know what to expect (and know that it's more a RPG than a true wargame) and some of them also act as GM in other games so everyone tries to build a good story together.

And we had luck with this game, everything went OK. :D It had happened in other games that some players did not find interesting things to do, or that the battles were too unbalanced (although unbalanced battles can also provide interesting scenarios). It needs a lot of game preparation.
