Pulp Alley: One Night in Innsmouth!
« on: 29 April 2016, 07:01:16 PM »
Not a comic version as I didn't take enough pics but here's a few shots from a couple of games we did the other day.  Awesome new terrain painted by  oldben1.  Now I have to make my Sarrissa stuff look like his:)  I think I'm going to do a little GM style gaming with my group.  I'll play cultists and Lovecraftian monsters (As I have many) while they play their usual leagues.  I'm toying with some 3 act stories.  Sort of short campaign in 3 parts.

Eg:  Act 1) Meteor lands near a barn in the country.  Meteor is main plot point.  Anyone close to it gets an extreme peril.  Failure will rear it's ugly head in act 3.

Act 2) Maybe a social combat sort of thing.  Leagues have to deal with scientists and local cops.  Maybe Greasers or teenagers...Gulp!

Act 3) whoever fails the peril in act 1 become a terror.

That's a sort of general idea anyways.  Each act is a game.  Should be able to bang em' out in a night.

Anyways here are the shots of the new terrain!

A quiet Innsmouth night...

Who could have wanted to drop a bomb right in the middle of this little town??

Captain Beaufort and his team near the center of town cautiosly...

In the distance they see the Blue Wraith tinkering with the unexploded ordnance!

Zephyr snags the first plot point in the graveyard.

The Blue Wraith defuses the bomb but catches the eye of the cops!

The Wraith make tracks and runs smack into Zephyr as she tries for the next plot point!

Here comes Man of Seoul!

As usual fun was had by all:)

Love the table.  Great use of the O gauge buildings, and your cemetery is one of my all-time favorite terrain pieces.

Hey that looks good.  I'm glad the stuff found a good home, and it looks like everyone had fun.  It's awesome to see it out and not gathering dust in the basement.  We need to Find you a church of Dagon!

Gary if you want the paint colors I used let me know.

One night in Innsmouth makes a hard man humble
Not much between despair and ecstasy
One night in Innsmouth and the tough guys tumble
Can't be too careful with your company
I can smell a fishman walking next to me

Great stuff!  Thanks for sharing.

What do you put down for your play space?  Looks like some kind of boarding.  I saw someone mentioned you are using Plasticville terrain.  Can you provide any info on your buildings?

Looking forward to see more!

Matt
