More Colonial Miniatures
« on: January 04, 2009, 09:39:21 PM »
Another unpredictable selection, as I practice with the camera.

The Perry Brothers 'Mounted Dervish Imam,' but painted up as an Afghan leader figure for Col.Winy's Pathan army.

A pair of French officers.  On the left, with eyeballs that seem to suggest extreme surprise, a Foundry French Zouave painted as... a French Zouave.  On the right, a Foundry Crimean War British naval officer, painted as a French naval officer.

A mounted Prussian staff officer, Foundry again, painted as someone from one of the minor German states. The plan was to compare this with exactly the same figure painted as Emilio Kosterlitsky, from the Mexican Revolution, in full dress - but I apear to have given that figure away for Xmas without photographing it.

That's not like you, are you feeling unwell?  :)

Nice to see all these things and the ideas you have to put them to other uses (that goes for your Mexican threads doubly so).

Strangely enough,
I have been ill. Not sure if it's a cold or the flu.  I tried 'alcohol administered internally' over the weekend, but it didn't appear to help much.

Dow

Dow,
Your problem is that you stopped the "alcohol administered internally" program too soon.  Like an antibiotic regime it needs to continue even after you finally feel better  :D :D :D :D
Got to kick at the darkness till it bleeds daylight.
