Bit of painting done: set up the rider from the Maw-Krusha as an ogre-orc hybrid or something.

Finally got together the courage to tackle the hydra from Mythic Battles. It's my favourite hydra miniature, indeed concept, and basically the reason I made my pledge. The cast could be better, some details smudged, but it's still lovely.

I tried for a mackerel pattern, which has ended up darkening slightly (accidentally, if appropriately, to Alpha Legion colours) as I went along. It still has a metallic sheen though, not particularly visible in the photos. All in all, I'm pretty satisfied. C&C welcome, every day's a learning experience :)

Thanks! It is a lovely figure :)

Tarasque is continuing slowly. Basic muscle and skeleton stuff is there, if a little rough, with shoulders attaching the extra limbs. Now I "just" need to work up to scales and get some ideas for the shell. Really liking milliput.

great stuff.

love your paint job on the dragon a page back in particular. fantastic figure too - if only their prices weren't quite so eyewatering (and I've yet to be able to navigate the Mierce website successfully - find it way too labyrinthine).

Thanks :) I need to gather my courage and finish it off soon. I agree, their website is somewhat... difficult, but they've updated recently which is a marked improvement. Check them out around holidays too, they have pretty frequent 25% off sales.

It may have got me right in the age when I asked for a Kemmler mini and the GW staffer gave me a blank look... but here, in all his classic glory, is the Lichemaster himself.
