Not to say I´m angry about the threadjacking... excellent pics, by the way... but could SOMEONE please comment on my figures? Or are they that bad that they are best left unspoken...

They look rather different in that they are Delta Force, whereas I seem to recall that the original team was Marines (note that I´m talking about the movie franchise - the TV series was not my cup of tea). Thus, the initial troops are more of a "combat recon" op team.

I´m thinking of converting some models to use as characters, but that´ll have to wait.

I realy like the facial camo, gives your deltas more caracter.
The base are good, but for stargate maybe you could ad some sand.

Great job on your deltas, would be great to see some more pictures of your Stargate project and maybe some scenery

I'm sorry about heading off on a detour there, they look good, I'm looking forward to seeing your Jaffa to go with them.

And do you know what is the most bitter irony in that? The Deltas are from Gripping Beast as well, so they would have been perfect in size! Argh! ;)  :lipps:

First painted Warriors.

As I don´t give an Ibis´ shit for the series, I painted them in a more Egyptian style using various gold tones and a lapis/turquois blue for contrast.

I´m thinking about modelling some skiffs for them to ride in - think "Return of the Jedi" skiffs mixed with Aegyptian ship styles.

These are looking fantastic!  I do agree, while I enjoyed the movie immensely, the TV series left me cold.

I enjoy Stargate the tv series (and so does my wife), I have 9 seasons and I am waiting for the 10th (the last). I also love Stargate Atlantis. I have been looking for some Stargate minis. Are the sites with Stargate minis posted here relible - have people used them before?

TT.

I've spoken to the Shieldwall people in person when I saw their 20mm Jaffa.  But not tried to buy anything from either website yet.

I am currently painting up a commission of the Phoenix Jaffa which I ordered from The Hobbybox (UK).

http://www.thehobbybox.biz

The miniatures are rather pricey (not the supplier´s fault). Their service was excellent and friendly, I received the minis in less than a week, and no extra P&P if you top 50 GBP.
