I shudder to think how much that must have cost you...

About 1/3rd of what the Warlord Games castle could?  lol

  • I don't suffer from insanity. I ENJOY it!
Yeah, probably. But looking at the Renedra site, the large castle set is 290 pounds, which would be close to 600.00 for me. Not counting the shipping.

First tower painted. Even with carefully testing techniques, the painting went much quicker than the assembly.

Oh, and there's a little hint at what's coming next in that second picture.

Nicely done!!  Love the detailing of the torch light.

House Umber coming into view!  Looking forward to more of those.

Nice work.
The torch backglow is a nice touch.

That castle does look like it has potential.
In fact, I would really like to work on it myself, but space restraints and common sense will prevail.
I look forward to seeing what you do with the rest of it, though.

Going to have to get into the property game and buy me a castle. The kit, not a real one mind. But then again I'm in a high paid job, single and have no kids. I could always sublet. Turn a few dungeons into shops and a Starbucks. I think the kit would be less maintenance though. Nice work. Keep it coming.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass....and I'm all out of bubblegum. No wait I've just found another pack in my back pocket. Mmm tropical fruit bubblicious.

That tower looks very nice. Sigh, I think I will be taking the plunge soon as well. Though I will be chopping it up for towers, fortified manors, and gatehouses...

Those look great!  :) Did you use transfers for the shield designs, or paint them freehand?

Freehand. Pretty happy with the bears on the Mormonts.

They are very nice. And good kit bashing to build the figures - I spot lots of different manufacturers in them.

I really like the snow effect - looks like snow, which isn't always the case with basing.
