British Paras and a little Wierd War stuff
« on: January 10, 2009, 11:45:41 AM »
I've finally finshed my first squad of British Airborne, after a holiday hiatus.

Now to start squad number two, including AEWWII druid, green (wo)man and chaplain.

I like the pictures very much. The painting style and the choose of colors is great. They look so realistic.

The best is the conversion of the spotter with the motorcyle. I believe that this will inspire many peaple to do something similliar - me too ;)

Which range and company is the mini with the body armor from? First I thought it was conversion from a German from North Star.

Oh, it's a conversion! That's the Harley from BAM then? I see.

I think the armored guy is from Westwind, Elmar. With a separate Para head from Westwind.

Cheers! Lovely comments  :)

The bike is indeed a conversion. A BAM harley, with a slightly converted Artizan mortar loader (mortar bomb snipped away). I am thinking of other conversions for my next batch. Probably a converted jeep of some kind with a trailer and casualty strapped onto a jeep mounted stretcher.

The armoured suit is Westwind. Lovely models, I painted this the day after I received it, rare for me as I usually leave models to sit for months before getting around to them  ;D He's getting a friend with an AT rifle soon.

I must admit I never thought I'd enjoy painting camo so much. It's almost zen like  o_o

Motorcycle guy is great.  Looks like he just skidded to a halt and quickly unlimbered his weapon.  Unfortunately his bike is about to fall and crush his leg, but all in the line of duty, wot.
