Lovely painting, great figure.

Pointy officers are generally called Rupert and are usually to be found saying "You, that man there, stand up straight!".   ;)

I think I've painted him too. Either that or he's in the pile... A very characterful Front Rank figure, and an unusual choice in which to paint him Phil. Looks great.

I suspect officers of the period did a great deal of finger pointing!

Lovely figure.   :)

# 90 Renaissance Nobleman

Only now as I post the picture does it occur to me that the pistol-carrying pet monkey might breach the rules – Single figure.

It’s a Victoria Lamb miniature and Nobleman and Monkey are together.  I’ll leave it to moderators to decide but if it’s disallowed I will graciously accept the ruling.  :)

Funnily enough I did know an officer from the Royal Engineers called Rupert but I never particularly noticed him pointing.

Sometimes they just point a man out to the Sergeant-Major and say "Take his name, Sar'nt Major!"   lol

Oh you can definitely keep the monkey, Malcolm.
I LOVE the monkey. Brilliant. Gorgeous - even if technically in contravention of the letter of the law... But that's monkeys for you...  ;)

15mm Mad Doc? Superb. What a great little character and wonderfully painted  :-*

A pair of beauties, gentlemen. And we do indeed seem to be accelerating towards the end  8)

Who can argue with the monkey when he's toting a gun? Lovely figure; the colour scheme shouldn't work but it does.
