"Onward to the Rhine" A WW2 Scenario Sept '44

http://yarkshiregamer.blogspot.co.uk/2016/06/onward-to-rhine-ww2-scenario-sept-44.html

We managed a little break from the madness of Project Jutland recently and fitted in our yearly game of 6 mm WW2.

Our little group of intrepid gamers are following the action across Western Europe from D-Day to the end of the war. The last game saw us close the Falaise gap and now the Allies are racing forward only to find tough groups of determined Germans in their path.

Whilst the current trend seems to be platoon level games like the excellent Chain of Command I have always preferred a larger unit base and smaller model size to give the impression of the large scale of the conflict.

I've included a game Map and full orbats if you fancy a go or like me you like having a pool of scenarios hanging around.

Regards Ken

Great looking game and scenario.

Nothing better than seeing WW2 armoured battles done in 6mm, not played Korps Commander for many years but have had some great games with them (and Firefly) in the past. Anything with Bruce Rea Taylor's name is going to be a great game.

There is a matching "Race to the Rhine" scenario with US forces free from the Panzer Korps Yahoo group.  The PK scenarios are very easy to step down for KC, Spearhead or similar rules.

Cheers Robh,

We have amended the old KORPS Kommander rule set over the years and now use companies as our move / fire unit, speeds game play up considerably.
