If I were Willie, I'd put those conversions on hold in the light of what Mike Snook recently posted on the Iron Duke FB page :

Quote
A few customers have asked about loyal sepoy codes. Initially I've responded by saying that with the exception of the loyal residues of three regiments, totalling about 700 men, who formed part of the besieged garrison at Lucknow, the BNI played no part to speak of on the British side. There were regiments of MNI involved in Sir Hugh Rose's Central India campaign of 1858, but they still used shakos, and these were of a different kind to the lately abolished BNI shako. As I've said in the past we won't be doing the Central India campaign, so no requirement for MNI. Thinking about it further, however, loyal BNI sepoys would be required for the Battle of Chinhat, the disastrous engagement which obliged Sir Henry Lawrence to fall back on Lucknow and fort up permanently. Since we've already stripped all the tulwars and skull caps etc off the uniformed mutineers to make the Gwalior Contingent code in shakoes, it will be easy enough to head swap the Gwaliors' shakoes with covered BNI forage caps to produce some loyal BNI sepoys. We won't do very many, enough for a unit, or alternatively a number of Sharp practice groups of 8, but leave it with me for a bit and we'll get a couple of loyal codes out - possibly 4 sepoys attacking and 4 command, or possibly a code of 8 sepoys attacking and a code of 4 command. All in long trousers, no tulwars, forage caps all round.

Then again, I'm pretty sure Willie's seen the post above as he obviously is one of said 'few customers' (if not all of them  lol )

Pathetic , impatient Willie did it again.  Ironic thing is that by the time I get to painting them Mike/Paul will probably have their much superior versions available.
Simple conversions in fact for anyone so inclined ( I like to think I'm not the only fool in this neck of the woods :))
The Gwalior figures simply have their shakos removed and replaced with suitable Kilmarnock caps.  That gives you a small batch of loyal sepoys.
For a few others - poses I absolutely wanted- I cut away the dhoti and replaced it with tattered trousers. One figure -the loading one- simply had it's tulwar removed and got a Kilmarnock instead of a skull cap.
Of course the now spare shakos went on the cannibalised figures.

More reinforcements ready for tonight's game.
Mutineer Miniatures native gun crew in uniform jackets(useful for both sides) and four Pathans from Artisan miniatures who will be appearing as badmash musket men, classed as Wallah's in SP2.
Cheers
Keith  :)

Sneaky use of the uniformed figures - fighting for both sides eh?  Nice crisp brushwork.
