(AP 2016) Orks: Yellow is the new green - first month pics 31/7 (oh dear....)

I'm being nice to myself as work is piling up ata formidable rate - archaeology fieldwork, new projects, new lectures to prepare - but that's not what you're here for, is it? I'm treating myself to an easy-to-paint colour scheme for anold, old army which does not need research: my long-suffering 40k Orks.

The name of the army might need some explanation - all will be made clear, but it's fairly obvious which colour will be very much inevidence.

Here's the orks in residence in their plastic sealed box in the cellar:



As you can see maybe I'm not being that easy on myself after all - they're all identical...!

But there is some other stuff of varying vintage:


I might be adding others to this lot if it goes well.

Ah, that's interesting. I'm actually an engineer in an archaeology dept. - I do stuff like material characterization, surveying and (soon) remote sensing.
I think my chosen models also have a mildly archaeological nature, most are around twenty years old, and by gaming standards....

There's many more than those, still to be dug up, including a mass of plastic gretchin.
And something big.....

The battlewagon is the old, old plastic model. The turret is, if I remember correctly, an old M3 tank turret, although someone will probably correct me soon.
The gun is scratch, as is it's base.

That's in fact roughly based on the old Epic plastic battlewagon model.

I used to have quite a few of those old vehicles. I think my friends sons are playing with them now.  Looking forward to you getting them painted.

Thanks - I think I need to set realistic targets, so I'm aiming for a minimu of 5 orks + 1 vehicle a month.
