I've finished the 3 Yaoguai for Lo Pan's retinue. I agonised over colours quite a bit on these guys. I wanted them to be quite bright, in stark contrast to the terracotta warriors, wearing fine immaculate silks, oiled horns and well made weapons. They are the bodyguards of Lo Pan, after all. Only the sorcerer himself is missing from the unit now.













So next up, Lo Pan himself. I might try the glowing eye thing, we'll see. Then it's six floating guardians.

Very nice effect on the cloth. Not that the rest is not great. Is there some metallic or iridescent mixed in the highlights?

Great cloth, nice shine to the horns and that 'fleshtone' you have given them is superb.

There is. I mixed silver into the highlights for the sash to give it a more silky look.

Thanks. Adding metallic to the paint to simulate silk is something I want to explore a bit further, I think it might be a useful technique.
