Great stuff I've been meaning to re-watch those films for ages...any further plans to add to the landscape may I suggest a few Windmills very in keeping with not only Miyazaki but I'm sure the Netherlands in general

This looks great - I might go for a search for one of those mats, it looks great for 6mm - did you use another layer to make the fields? The flyer's great too - top stuff!

Cheers gents!

Yeah, the fields are made from the tar-like material roofing shingles are made from, we call it roofing leather down here. It's a bit flexible which is good for large flat areas and has small stones on the other side that absolutely grip the grass mat so they don't move, very handy! the road is also made from the same material, its where I got the idea from a old architects of war tutorial on making roads.

Definitely on the list, still debating what style I will end up going for. I'm mainly sticking to Howls moving castle style wise, which appears to be a blend of Tudor and Germanic buildings. I'm sure there is a windmill in the background there somewhere.
I have a Cricut cutting machine coming in so that should make buildings a lot easier and quicker to make, in this and any style really.

wow! Dude you have been busy!

Hardly, 80% of the things in that picture are a year or more old. Just finally geting round to putting it together, or at least a coat of paint on it.

looks amazing though.

Nothing better than realizing you have something cool you already made, just need to finish it.

Welp, I fucked up some rivers I was working on for the better part of a month by making my modgepodge all bubbly. I swear got me down to the point where I didn't do anything miniatures for 2 weeks. I have nearly finished a new building by now, so that is nice. Pics soon I hope.

I took notice of this thread too late, but I absorbed it as dry earth the new rain!

Thanks Din, I have to admit scrolling back through the topic also helps me recover some gusto for it.

I had a lovely bike ride through the countryside and the abundance of dragonflies inspired me to test my hand at some more organic sculpting for the "enemy" side of this project.

I'm not convinced about the back ridge having its own sub ridges tbh, I might go back and change that.

will they even show up in 6mm scale? Run a little micro test print to see the detail at that scale and then sculpt accordingly is my advice. It is what I did with Brett and his 6mm tanks etc for Ogre.

Probably not, but I feel I might want a 15mm version of this bugger.  :D

Small update, WIP on a large storehouse and building, I imagine this building standing close to a river. (my rivers, as mentioned, having completely failed...)

Thanks, guys! Couple of details to add still before I slap some paint on. I'm thinking red will do for this one.
