As said, not my work. But yeah I was really impressed by that, I don't think I've ever seen that done to good effect on a 6mm tank before.

Pretty awesome nonetheless!

Makes me want to try some chipping on my pieces too!

I finished painting one whole stand more of infantry, a machine gun squad this time. I really love these sculpts. Shown here bravely defending a 12mm d6 for scale.

This one seems to have rolled a one, so might be better to abandon it now.  :D

Moving on to a different aspect of the setting, the northern alliance. Mostly made up of orcs gnoblar and humans, they have been armed with older weaponry by nations bordering on their territories hoping to spark inter-clan conflict and weaken their hold. Instead, the Alliance has strengthened their bonds and their forces to defend their lands against all invaders.

In the northern territories the alliance clans live in turf-covered houses, which help insulate their living spaces. This is a small hut or shed, most extended families share great halls build in this style, many with multi level interiors.

This was basically a test piece, being happy with how it turned out I will start on a couple of larger ones which hopefully will go of to be cast as part of the dieselkrieg range.

Love the building!!! Both the shape and the painting!

As an improvement, i'd vary a bit more the vegetation on top! A few sparse static grass tufts or even just variety in vegetation would help a lot, imho!

Will you group the buildings on larger groups or keep them as scatter elements?

Cheers,
Jack

I can definitely use some smaller Tufts, I was considering some regularly clump foliage but it made the roof look very unruly and unkept instead of a smooth turf covering.

I was thinking a nice clustered village, but now I imagine it old Finnish style, if your neighbors can hear you shout they live too close. XD

Lots of these in the flanks of a hill would work well! Only partially underground (on the back side), it would make a pretty nice larger LOS-Blocking terrain element!

That house is looking great!

Have you heard anything regarding the Insect nomads?

I know things have been delayed somewhat due to you know what but I've heard no updates.
