She looks pretty cool.

My latest project is a Christmas present for my mum: A nest of filthy xenos renagades (or possibly a heartwarming Kroglogg family reunion).

Nice scene, I like the color you picked for the Krogloggs. I have no idea how I want to paint mine yet.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Thanks.  I was originally thinking a 'standard' brown-ish fur for them, but then saw a couple of people on the interwebs had painted theirs blue, which I liked.  The kid ended up a little more purple than planned, but I wanted the nipper to obviously stand out from mum - I figure they lose the purpley tinge as they reach adulthood.

Here are the Negavolt Cultists, which means I've almost painted all the core Blackston Fortress baddies (the only one outstanding is Obsidius Mallex, but I'm waiting for Hasslefree to release their power-armoured not-Trump figure to substitute for Mallex).  I've stolen Agis' idea for removing the cables on the heads as I wasn't a fan of that look.  Next up are a couple of the heroes.

All the Blackstone Fortress stuff is looking great! Those Anvil conversions are pretty sweet too, I think I've got some of those helmets that I never used, I'll have to dig them out!

Thanks.  I was pleasantly surprised just how much a head swap can change the look of the plastic Cadians.

With the core baddies mostly done, I figured I ought to do at least some of the Blackstone Heroes.  As I didn't have even half-suitable proxies for Taddeus the Purifier and Pious Vorne I figured I'd start with them.  I wasn't entirely sure how Taddeus was going to work out, but I'm really pleased with how he came together in the end.  I'm working on his servo skull seperately - as I'm primarily a skirmish gamer I wanted it to be able to be used (and killed if need be) independently of Taddeus.

Here are some more PDF Goons, Commissar Lavrentiy Beria and Taddeus the Purifier's servo skull:

I figured I've got enough Goons now that a second Sgt wouldn't go amiss (plus it means the officer doesn't have to cover for the second Sgt in Blackstone Fortress, leaving him free to devote his time to important officer stuff); whilst I was at it, a couple of special weapons seemed like a good idea.  The sniper will fit in well with my Inq28 setting where exotic weaponry is somewhat less common than normal, whereas the plasma gunner is more for regular Kill Team, where I might face people in serious armour (and/or as a GM I ever need to give the Goons something really scary).

Commissar Beria is a substitute figure for the Blackstone Fortress Traitor Commissar who can also fit in with the PDF Goons in my Inq28 setting (which the official figure is far to Chaosy for).  He's a mixture of bits from Anvil (including the adorably cute mini-power fist), with a GW bolt pistol.  (The varnish seems to have toned down the already subtle highlights on his black uniform and coat, and the photo has further masked the effect, but it's there if you look closely.)

Finally, the servo skull is cut straight from Taddeus so that I can use it in other games as an independent figure (keg from Ramshackle).  Getting the angle right for the pinning wire in the keg was a right pain in the proverbials - it took about half a dozen goes and two wrecked kegs to get right, but was worth it for the elevation it gives the skull.

I seem to be experiencing an unexpected burst of productivity at present, here are the Blackstone Chaos Ogryn and X-101.  They're both straight builds and I'm quite pleased with how the painting's turned out, particularly the blending into the ogryn's mutated claw.

I seem to have been quite productive of late, here's a pair of arco-flagellants (which now gets me back in the black this year for figures painted vs figures acquired).  I wanted one to use as the retinue character for Blackstone Fortress, and figured whilst I was at it, a second wouldn't go amiss should Taddeus step out in my Inq28 setting.
