Because the area of battle is around 300m x 200m and the action is platoon level any sort of attack helicopter was outside the scope.  The Hollywood rules ignore this because it is Hollywood.  Feel free to add them in for regular gaming if you like.  Transport helicopters are not included as the patrol phase covers this.
