Searching for 15mm Lunar Lander/Modules and equipment
« on: August 07, 2016, 02:39:51 AM »
Hello everyone at Lead Adventure Forum,
How ya'll going?

I wanted to ask the community members that have an interest in 15mm sci fi, about where I could find any Lunar exploration related craft, lunar modules and equipment.
At this present time the only Moon/Lunar themed terrain piece I have found is the Habitation Sphere made by Brigade Models, which you can see in the photo below;

(Habitation Sphere)

If any of you know about lunar suitable terrain/buildings etc please let me know.

Thank you.

In a similar vein http://theionage.com/collections/15mm-ion-age-structures from 15mm.co.uk are also 'lunar colony' in style.

Have a google search for 1:100 real space plastic kits. You might find something useful there.

Hello friends, thank you for the replies.

Ground Zero Games  should have some vehicles for the MoonGrunt range soonish.

The MoonGrunt range is the reason for my entry in to 15mm sci fi, thus the Lunar interest. May I ask how you obtained that information regarding the vehicles?
I was considering their Bobcat 4-wheel HMLCV, although I may hold off now considering this information.

I did the designs.  Two Buggies, 2 rovers,  One mini-flyer/sledge, there will be another flyer but need to redo the cockpit.  Sorry no pictures available at present.

They models were delayed due to problem with making master moulds as I did not know procedure for preparing the 3D prints for casting (degunking & priming).

I don't know when they will be released as depends on when Jon has time to do the production moulds & if I need to get some of the components reprinted.

Could I kindly request that people don't bug Jon about when these will be released as he is somewhat busy.

That's awesome news, thank you for sharing that.

I did purchase a set of the *Wheeled drone with autocannon* to support infantry units on Luna, do these drones fit with the aesthetics of what you have designed?
And if I may ask, the Buggies and Rovers, are they hard-sci fi or more fantasy design inspired? Do they have wheels or tracks?

There are two design themes in range (angular & rounded), both area  low-tech spaceframe & panels form.  The buggies & rovers are wheeled & flyers have fixed thrusters.

Those drones could fit with the range.

I've got a Moomgrunt project very slowly progressing too - all I can add is that there are already quite a few good GZG vehicles. This is ace: https://shop.groundzerogames.co.uk/15mm-stargrunt/vehicles/civilian-paramilitary-and-misc-vehicles/v15-63a.html and assembled very nicely.

Years ago, I sent some friends at the antipodes some Johnny Lightning Lost in Space stuff, based on the original series.

The TOS buggy 'Chariot' got nabbed by a younger member of the family who was quickest to the package.  ;)

Might be some still available on eBay; I've got some squirreled away SOMEWHERE.  :D
