A Box of Faeries
« on: August 14, 2016, 05:37:23 PM »
As a complete change from making and painting figures for wargaming, I made a 'life size' collection of faeries (as an exibit for a steampunk exhibition). This is my gothic take what real fearies would look like and on what the Victorians would have done any they caught.

The bodies are original Evil Empire plastic skeletons with a bit of greenstuff. Wings are seed pods found during a walk on the Malvern Hills.

A little bit disturbing, mas very nice indeed!  ;)

I gave to a couple of friends a faerie in a bottle some years ago... But where I currently live fae trafficking is illegal nowadays!  ;)

Nicely done, in the grand Victorian tradition of "Why that's quite beautiful, fetch my gun & a selection of large pins!"

Consider the case of Oscar Wilde. They might just have sent captured fairies to prison.
