Anyone Playing Serenity Firefly Crew In 15mm?
« on: August 20, 2016, 07:23:29 AM »
I'm curious what terrain you guys might have used for their heists and other land adventures.

Of course, in lieu of horses:

Or donkeys:

I really like what some have done with these GZG Quad Transport Walkers (GMM-34):

PS.  If anyone is thinking of a Firefly "Magnificent Seven", just imagine these structures with metal roofs and solar panels instead of clay tiles:

Well, clearly you want to use a mix of 15mm sci fi buildings and old west buildings

All deployed on an unusually covered base mat:-

I've painted mine but never played as now I am sitting in 28mm gaming.

But I planed to use them as a crew for Star Mogul.

Oh, the idea is brilliant! I still have the crew in 15mm on my paintdesk.
Maybe I need to start on this. There is quite a lot 15mm Wild West scenery out there that screams to be converted!

Clearly one needs to get a 15mm stage coach and either 1: replace the wheels with hover jets or 2: replace the horses with turbomules

Absolutely.  Gotta have a few container or concrete buildings:

You need to make a few removable awnings, for when you want to add a more exotic feel to the inhabitants.  Or a few a couple of interchangeable roofs (flat, curved, peaked), some with a little Asian flare to them.

By the way, this looks like a lot of fun:

But done with this front instead:

However, in a "Magnificent Seven" game, the crew would probably be defending poorer simpler folk, don't you think?

I guess that the episode "Heart of Gold" was a similar scenario to M7, but it was just a single isolated building (brothel) instead of a small village which I think is part of what made the old movie so much fun to watch.

Wrap them in img tags, so
Code: [Select]

becomes a squad of brown coats thus:

Perfect!  Thanks so much.  Let me see if I can go back and change the ones above.  Awesome brown oats by the way.  What figures are they?

EDIT - It worked!  Thanks again.

Glad you like the info.  I hope you can use some of it at least.

A quick note about one of the images that Dezmond posted a few days ago:

It is a cardstock set of buildings.  Here are the instructions and templates:
