Have finished painting all remaining encounter-markers (bases from Black Cat).

Upcoming weekend I shall finish the profiles for the Brits, and all that remains is to build the stairs leading down to the subterranean temple, and then get some players assembled.

I'd never thought that this project would take me so long to complete, but having suffered twice from painter's block because of khaki, having two small kids, and having a full time work together with a garden in need of mending.... well, let's just say I COULD probably have gotten there earlier by focussing more on the project and not allowing myself to wander off into other things from time to time - but......
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

No idea what you have edited in this post but you actually may post here whatever you want. WIP pics and so on, everything is no problem at all. "Must be finished" clause is just for the final outcome if you are going to claim the "finished" badge :)

Ah OK - I misinterpreted that. Will re-post some WIP later, then  :)

Here we go again:

Hasan Köse, international man of mystery, spy, dealer in carpets, exquisite antiquities, weapons, opium, informations, camels and murder, etc., etc., and his  not-too-bright bodyguards.

Before:

Re-basing WIP (I have to wait for the LocTite Powerglue gel to settle/dry  :-[ ):

You will have noticed that I did not give the Turkish faction desert bases; they are not going to serve this project only, but will see use in a regular Pulp Alley league, and maybe also games of Strange Aeons/Von unaussprechlichen Kulten, so they got 'generic' bases.

Next task: Re-basing these (they WILL get new desert bases, though).

So with a start date of January 2007, is this the oldest of the revived projects in our spiffy new "It's Alive!" board?

A pleasure going back through this project, which I'd forgotten about, and seeing all the excellent pulpy details. Looking forward to seeing it finished!

(Edit to answer my own question - the Prof's Outer Mongolia thread was started in September 2006, so this is the second-oldest of the revivals)

I've been around for quite a while  lol

Thanks for all the nice words.

I think this was my first project inspired by being a member of this forum, so it's actually nice to get it back on tracks. And those minis have been screaming for bases to meet common LAF standards for quite a while (I actually took them out of my painted Pulp minis box several months ago and placed them on my elevated workspace - only to collect dust since then, I'm afraid).

So, after almost 2 weeks without any any notable progress, I finally got tyhe diggers' bases finished yesterday:

WIP:

The final result:

I am in two minds if I should add some white to the buff and add another lighter hightlight - I think I'll have to see the minis on one of my desert boards to decide...   :?
