Nice AAR. Reminds me I need to finish getting color on my PA collection. I'm a couple dozen figs from finished. Then that'll be done. (well, that shelf at least)

BTW, I piled all those files together and sent them off to Lulu to be printed and bound. My group will start a play test campaign Oct/Nov as soon as we finish our SOBH games. Looking forward to it.

We managed to get in about four more games this past Saturday. Absolute mayhem! A focus for this session was playing with 'area terrain', in this case woods / brush.

The player's team gets ready to move on bounding-overwatch toward the edge of the bushy area.

A sharpshooter covers their route from the tower above.

Poor Peabody actually died and so I will have to start again from scratch, but the other two players who were there on the day managed to move closer to their goals! There was some nail biting fun trying to get artefacts out of anomalies and a nearly disastrous - yet successful - attempt to conquer territory and establish an HQ. Good fun all around.

But the NPC team on the other side is equally cautious and sets up a firing position behind the old wreck...

Both the campaign rules and the core mechanics of Cleared to Engage got a solid workout that resulted in some clarifications, balancing and even a bit of revision, bringing it all one step closer to being ready for a wider audience.

Confident in the cover the deep brush provides, the player team decides to hold most of their members set up in ambush.

Then begins to probe beyond the edge of the woods...

Television is rather a frightening business. But I get all the relaxation I want from my collection of model soldiers. P. Cushing

It looks like a lot of Pixar cars died in the Nuclear explosion! lol

Great work on the Plasticville, I really like the Hotel.

Looking good, I like the grim and gritty palette you're working with. More sombre than the average fallout/Mad Max type game.
Can I ask where you got the dead trees from?

Glad you like it!  :D

The dead trees - and the little stands of bushes - are Woodland Scenics armatures.

The trees and bases got a spray of the 'German Green Brown' Vallejo surface primer. The tips of the branches were hit with some well thinned Tamiya rubber black and the overspray from doing the tips provided a very nice scorched and sooty look to each tree.

A proper dusting with Vallejo matte varnish and they were table ready.

By the time I got around to doing the bushes I had discovered the 'Parched Grass (Late)' surface primer. Wish I had found it sooner, it would have been a good choice to add variety to the rest of the burnt tree mix.

Thank you big guy! I'll take credit for the terrain but the minis are all the work of Bravo Six and Mr. Phil.

Phil doesn't post here, unfortunately but he is a regular at our table. His minis are classic.  :-*

Going to get the Stalker campaign tidied up for a general playtest release so that folks can have a bash at it over the Christmas holidays.  :D
