Driller in Chilly Grave
« on: September 14, 2016, 11:35:46 AM »
Hi guys,

may I present to you my very first dungeon tile for Frostgrave (it's also my first home made dungeon tile ever.) Standing on it is my first ever Frostgrave mini. The poor guy is badly lit. He is based in a late summer, early autumn manner, because the town itself will look more like Mordheim than Felstadt.

just the usual: insulation foam (the pink kind). It was primed and drybrushed a few times, and I used a few washes on it.

Awesome.  I have tossed around the idea of "Fallgrave."  What did you use for the fall leaves?

Nice work :) I saw a thread for making leaves, cant remember who it was saddly otherwise I'd give him the credit.
What he did was get a small leaf punch from a craft shop(got mine from china via ebay), he tried a few materials but found the best was actual leaves !!
Tried it and it works well, and now is the time of year to go hunting, if they are green and fresh they shrivel a little.
tried it with flower petals for some varying colour, so im just waiting for the leaves to fall to make my collection :)
hope this helps someone .

this post contained a photo of the above chap, but I took it down because I was not satisfied with his new basing scheme... I'm starting to think I'm anal retentive... :)

Dried tea leaves are an option.

Here are my yet unpainted, unprimed bunch of figures for the game. Minis from Descent, Scibor and CP Models. There is also a big ass bat among them, which is not part of the Frostfrave bestiary, but I'm planning to play other dungeon crawlers with my dungeon tiles as well, so...

2nd and 3rd painted minis for my Frostgrave/dungeon crawl project: a Scibor dwarf slightly modified, and a Descent giant spider.

That's the ickiest spider I've ever seen in miniature, and that dwarf is full of character - great work!
